  • When Lindsey Kuzmin went shopping for Halloween decorations, she saw a toy cat skeleton that she immediately liked.
  • She brought the toy home and her cat Roswell instantly fell in love with the toy.
  • The toy has become a fixture in her home as Roswell’s best friend.

Lindsey Kuzmin’s favorite holiday is Halloween.  She loves decorating and when she saw a skeleton cat Halloween decoration at a store, she immediately took it home and showed it to her cat, Roswell.

Lindsey was interested and excited to know how Roswell would react to the toy.

“He immediately ran right up to it and started sniffing it,” Lindsey said. “Within a few minutes, he was licking it like he was trying to groom it and kept brushing up against it. I wasn’t expecting him to be quite so friendly with the skeleton cat right away, but he absolutely loves it.”

Now, Roswell spends most of his day near his skeleton friend in her mom’s office.  Lindsey narrated that Roswell walks up to the toy, brushes against it as if saying hi and will sometimes give it a kiss!

And when Roswell goes for rides in his stroller, the skeleton cat is by his side.

“He’ll walk by it and brush up against it like he’s saying hi, and will sometimes give it kisses too,” Lindsey said.

But there was someone who initially did not take a liking to the toy, Roswell’s sister, Leela.  But with the affection that Roswell has showered on the toy cat, Leela has been thawing a little.  Roswell is pleased with it as there is nothing that Roswell would like but for his loved ones to get on well.

Lindsey had no idea that when she bought the toy cat that it would turn out to be a fixture.  The toy has become not just a decoration for a season but a friend for all seasons for Roswell.

Lindsey concluded, “The skeleton cat is like family now, so I’ll be keeping it around all year.”
