Sadly, his plans were dashed when the two people he invited declined.

His mom Hannah learned from her son that one kid “had told him their mum doesn’t like him and they can’t play with him.”

Hannah was heartbroken for her son with autism. She was frustrated at the “parents’ lack of understanding” about kids with special or additional needs. “They don’t understand the impact of what they say in front of their kids, which is then repeated — it’s unacceptable.”

Hoping to cheer Harry up, she reached out to Instagram to talk about their situation and ask for birthday cards.

Their story ended up reaching people all across the globe!

Over 400 cards were sent to them, with some coming from Canada, Dubai, and New Zealand.

Hannah shared, “I wish I could share every single message. They’ve all been so touching, beautiful, and so gratefully received. There’s hundreds of cards, but he’s been through every single one… read and reread.”

If that wasn’t touching enough, several families who lived in the area asked if they could still get an invite to the bowling party.

Hannah expected only a few family members to show up, but around 30 kids turned up to Harry’s party!
