Nick Mangold, a standout player and enduring favorite with the New York Jets, passed away at 41 due to complications from kidney disease.

His journey inspired many, as he faced health challenges with positivity, seeking a kidney donor and sharing hope with the communities that rallied around him.

“I always knew this day would come, but I thought I would have had more time,” he shared in a heartfelt message to fans and loved ones.

He remained focused on brighter days ahead, expressing determination and optimism about returning to full strength.

Mangold joined the Jets as a first-round draft pick in 2006 from Ohio State and earned his place in the Jets’ ring of honor in 2022 after a remarkable career.
