A puppy named Leo went missing from his home in Turkey two months ago. Needless to say, his family was devastated. They almost lost hope when they couldn’t find him even after searching almost everywhere.
Until last week when Leo’s owner’s son, Sertaç Araç, spotted a dog who looked a lot like his parents’ missing pet.
Sertaç, who was in a neighboring town for work — about 60 miles away from his home — found the “Leo-lookalike” dog sitting outside a café. Sertaç thought he was a stray dog because he was looking dirty and disheveled from life on the streets.
“I took a picture and sent it to my mother and father,” Araç told The Dodo. But he was still in doubt, given the distance of the location, that this was their dog.
Araç’s parents decided to drive to the area to check for themselves.
But all doubt was soon laid to rest when Leo saw his family.

Immediately, Leo recognized them. After months of being lost and alone on the street, the sweet pup was overjoyed to have finally been found.
“When Leo saw us, he was very happy and we were very happy,” Araç said.
They took him home, where he belongs, surrounded by the love of his family.
