Sia Surprises Walmart and TJMaxx Shoppers By Paying for Their Groceries For Thanksgiving [Video]

  • Lucky Walmart and TJ Maxx shoppers in Palm Springs, California were treated to free groceries by singer-songwriter Sia on the day before Thanksgiving.
  • The singer hid her identity by saying her name was “Cici” and said she just won the lottery.
  • Sis tried going ‘incognito’ but some fans identified her and thanked her for her generosity.

Singer Sia was spotted paying for customers’ groceries at a Walmart and TJ Maxx in Palm Springs, California, going ‘incognito.’ The singer said her name was Cici and that she won the lottery.

She even posed for a photo with a fan who recognized and identified the “Chandelier” singer.

Sia, who has a home in the Palm Springs area, was reportedly seen helping out shoppers and jumping from register to register to pay for their items.

One shopper, Adri Buckles, filmed Sia asking if she could pay for the customers behind her. Most of the shoppers did not immediately recognize the singer, who is famous for performing on stage wearing giant wigs that hide her face.

“So [Sia] paid for my groceries today thank you so much!! The heart and beautiful soul you have for paying for everyone!! I’m sorry for telling everyone once I realized who you were!! But this kind must be acknowledged!!!” Buckles wrote on Twitter, where she shared the video.

The shoppers praised Sia for her kindness and generosity on Twitter.

“I love that she did this not for recognition of showing kindness, but just actually being a kind person. She didn’t want people to know who she was, or why she was doing it,” one person tweeted.

“For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: God bless you, Sia,” another wrote.

“Hey, I’m suffering from chronic pain, a neurological disease, ehlers danlos and I just wanted to say to those of you suffering from pain, whether physical or emotional, I love you, keep going. Life is f– hard,” she tweeted last month. “Pain is demoralizing, and you’re not alone.”

“Plenty of people suffering more than me. At least I have resources,” the singer wrote wrote. “I really feel for those struggling w/the healthcare system. KEEP GOING!”
