Talking about the popularity of the video, the 30-year-old dad told TODAY Parents that he knew his son was funny: “He is very animated. He takes after me.”

Pryor shares how Kingston always follows him around the house doing everything he does. When Pryor puts down a microphone after working on a stand-up routine, Kingston picks it up and works on his own routine.

Pryor shared, “He is walking around and imitating the stand-up and he goes ‘he he he’ at the end. It is so funny to him. He keeps doing that until other people laugh.”

The response on social media has been overwhelmingly positive, which has been rare nowadays.

One Twitter user wrote, “When the baby shook his head … that’s when I knew they were in fact having a legit conversation.”

Several users expressed their approval for encouraging the young boy to have a fun, open dialogue.

A Facebook user shared, “That’s right, start the conversation bonding early.”

According to Pryor, he and Kingston chat so often that sometimes he forgets Kingston is a toddler!

He shared, “He doesn’t see himself as a baby. I don’t see him as a baby.”

Pryor jokingly said, “I have been chasing this dream of making it as this famous actor and comedian for 16 years and Kingston’s walking around like ‘Damn dad, it took you 16 years? It only took me one.’”
