  • Sofia achieved the highest possible score for her age group without any exam preparation.
  • Beyond her intellect, Sofia is a vibrant young girl with a passion for coding, ballet, and music.

Sofia Kot Arcuri, a remarkable 13-year-old, has been welcomed into Mensa after achieving an extraordinary score of 162 on her IQ test. This score surpasses those of iconic intellects like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.

Her mother, Cecylia Kot Arcuri, expressed her delight and surprise at Sofia’s achievement, especially since Sofia didn’t prepare for the test.

“She just walks around throwing random facts at you,” Cecylia shared, highlighting Sofia’s natural brilliance and her top-of-the-class status from a young age.

Despite her impressive intelligence, Sofia is described by her mother as a typical, lively teenager.

“She’s got loads of friends, is bubbly, and loved by everyone,” Cecylia added.

Mensa, the prestigious society for individuals with high IQs, has been a hub for brilliant minds for over a century. It includes members from diverse fields, such as Isaac Asimov and Commander Chris Hadfield, among others.

Sofia managed to achieve her incredible results even with a busy school schedule, which left her with no time to prepare for the Mensa test in January.

Her mother recalled the joy of receiving Sofia’s test results on March 14th.

Sofia excels in computer science and is eager to pursue a career in coding.

“She came home one day and said, ‘there was a bug the teacher didn’t even know how to solve, and I did it,’” Cecylia proudly recounted.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Sofia is an accomplished ballet dancer, participates in musical theatre, and plays the piano.

Her grandfather, Antoni Kot, was a respected mathematician and educator in Poland, and Cecylia believes Sofia inherited her mathematical passion from him.

“His brain was sharp even in his last minutes, and we believe Sofia inherited her love of math and coding from him,” Cecylia noted.
