A seven-year-old boy rescued his neighbour who was trapped in her house – by pushing his ‘super stretchy’ thin arm through the letterbox.

Jayden Kenyon leapt into action when Stella Thorley, 79, fell while going to the loo at 3am and couldn’t get back up.

Her family couldn’t get through to her on the phone, or get an answer at the door, they tried to get into her home.

The key was stuck in the inside of the door, preventing entry, and her daughter in law Jane, 47, attempted to get in for an hour.

But neighbour Jayden, seven, then stepped in to save the day – and her.

He offered to try and reach the key and thanks to his “super stretchy” and slim arms, he was able to retrieve the key, and gain entry.

Stella was rescued, and after medical attention and rest, is back to full health.

The pensioner said: “We’re so grateful for Jayden – he’s my little saviour.

“I think he saved my life,” she added. “When you’re old you can’t survive on the floor very long.”

Stella said she’s lucky it wasn’t winter yet.

Stella, who is 6ft, added: “I just couldn’t get up. I’m so tall it makes it harder.

“I managed to pull a cover over myself, and just lay there wishing I could get out of there.

“By the morning I was so confused and in shock.”

Hero Jayden added: “It hurt really really a lot – I had lots of cuts and bruises.

“I felt amazing when they were cheering. I felt a bit like bendy Spiderman – he’s my favourite superhero.

“I knew it was an emergency and we had to rescue Stella and I just wanted to help like Spiderman does.

“I am a superhero called Mr Stretchy Man now.”

Jane could hear her Stella calling out in fear from outside the house in Crewe, Cheshire, on June 19.

They tried reaching the keys with wire coat hangers, moving them with magnets, and were calling a locksmith when the little lad offered to have a try.

Jayden stretched his whole arm through and reached the keys which were at a tricky angle.
