Dad Surprises 4 Daughters With Ball Pitt, Fills Their House With 250,000 Plastic Balls [Video]
- Joel Conder makes up for missed family bonding time by filling up their house with 250,000 plastic balls to surprise his family.
- Before the mandatory lockdown, he made sure to prepare what is needed to make one memorable family bonding experience while in quarantine.
- This is, by far, one of the most memorable bonding time the family has spent together, he said.
Joel Conder wanted more family bonding time since in the weeks leading up to the mandatory lockdown in their home in Surrey, England, he had missed a number of their supposed activities together. He made sure that before the lockdown starts, his family would be able to do at least some of these activities again as a family.
Joel runs a YouTuber channel, sharing life stories with his wife Sarah and their four daughters, 14-year-old Kaci, 12-year-old Grace, 8-year-old Sophie, and 2-year-old Chloe.
There are many activities to choose from, but playing at the ball pits is the clear choice since this is their favorite thing to do. He figured that since such places are off-limits at this time, he would just have to bring the activity inside their house!
Joel started his quest to find new plastic balls to fill up his house. Then, he found Ballmania. He ordered 250,000 new plastic balls.
Joel and his friends spent two hours dumping these plastic balls all over their house, only keeping the upper levels of his house ball free. By the time they finished, the ball pit was 3-feet deep, filling up their kitchen, hallway, and living room. The only thing left to do then is to sit back and wait for everyone to arrive.
“Kaci, Grace, Sophie, and Chloe came home first — everything was worth it just for that reaction,” Joel said. “They were shrieking with laughter — Kaci was like, ‘Mum’s going to kill you.’”
When Sarah arrived, she was surprised that her house is jam-packed with plastic balls, but she soon got over her initial shock and jumped in to start playing with her family. The fun bit gets better. The family members took turns sliding down their staircase in a suitcase, landing in their ball pit floor.
“It’s honestly one of the best memories I think we will have,” Joel said.
This idea is so much fun. Cleaning up the house to remove all those plastic balls could take a lot of time and effort, but it would sure be worth it if the family could be this happy.
