Toy Company Turns Children’s Adorable Drawings Into Plushies [Video]

• A company has been turning kids’ drawings into one-of-a-kind stuffed toys.
• From an idea written on a paper napkin in 2013, it has now converted 200,000 drawings into huggable toys.
• The company has also created toys from selfies and pets and gives out toys to sick children at hospitals.

There is nothing like a customized toy to give you that special feeling.  After all, you thought about what you would want, painstakingly drew it, and specified what color it should be, and then it turned into a toy that you could hug and bring with you anywhere you want.

It is a piece of art. Unique and one-of-a-kind.

Thanks to Alex Furmansky who jotted his idea down of Budsies on a paper napkin in 2013 and in his spare bedroom at that.

He devoted his efforts and life savings to the business and scouting for investors.  His appearance on ABC’s “Shark Tank” in 2015 gave him his big break.  It translated the needed traffic of 100,000 visits on his website.

Now, Budsies has already worked its magic on 200,000 drawings!

Scott Meier took over as CEO of the company in 2021 and lives by the company’s goal to make the world more huggable.

You’re doing it, Bugsies!

Their toys might cost $140 each but they give out toys to those in need in partnership with community organizations. But sick children at hospitals like the Mayo Clinic, DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta are at the forefront of their philanthropic efforts.

They have already introduced Selfies and Petsies to their product line.  Selfies are based on photographs of people which can come with a voice recording and Petsies for your beloved animals.
