An 80-year-old farmer in Hertfordshire faced £40,000 in costs to remove 200 tons of construction waste illegally dumped on his land.

Neighbor Archie Ford, 31, launched a JustGiving campaign that exceeded its goal in three days, drawing nearly 2,000 donors.

“I was facing a real-life nightmare, but I’ve been blown away by the support I’ve received from so many people,” said the anonymous farmer.

“This has restored my faith in humanity. I am so grateful to everyone who has supported me. I had no idea what was going to happen to me.”

Archie called the situation outrageous and praised the overwhelming response to help the vulnerable farmer.

Neighboring farmer Will Dickinson joined efforts, highlighting the need for stronger action against fly-tippers.
