Quick Smiles:

  • A playful dog named Marshi wins Pet of the Week for his bathtub adventures.
  • Pinky, a spirited 13-year-old Chihuahua, still loves little walks and runs.
  • Crew, a champion Rottweiler, brings comfort through therapy work and achievements.

This week’s celebration of pets brings cheerful moments and heartening stories from loving families. Among the joyful highlights, Marshi, a spirited dog with an endless fascination for the bathtub, wins hearts for his playful splashing and leaping.

“He loves splashing and trying to get the tub stopper out,” shared his owner, Tammy Kowalyshen.

Pinky, a 13-year-old Chihuahua, has stayed by her owner’s side ever since she fit in the palm of a hand. Even now, she shows her playful spark with every walk.

“I’m a runner, and she would go for long runs with me,” her owner, Teresa Young, recalled.

Crew, a 20-month-old Rottweiler, not only wins champion titles but also spreads comfort with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Blue Line Therapy Dog Team, giving back with affection and support.

“This boy is a total Rottweiler—goofy, lovable, smart and he thinks he’s a lap dog,” said Maddie Vaughan, his proud owner.

Friday’s International Cat Day brought special recognition to Sarabi, an energetic kitten who fills her home with joy after the loss of a beloved older cat.
