Alien-Looking Kitten Is Perfect For The Family Who Rescued Her

• An abandoned 3-week-old kitten was found in a field at the back of one family’s house.
• The kitty had unusually big eyes and a lopsided nose, and that made her alien-looking.
• The family adopted her after the vet pronounced she has no other physical problems.

Mia Ibanez and her family were talking one cold and rainy night when they heard meowing.  Mia and her mom went out into their backyard and onto the giant field behind their house and shined their flashlight on a tiny black thing in the field.  

They climbed the fence and scooped out what turned out to be a little kitty just 3 weeks old.   They wrapped the kitty in a blanket and nursed her with some formula.

After two days of taking care of the kitten, Ibanez discovered some quirks in the kitty’s appearance.  For one, her eyes were larger than any other kitten she has seen.  Her feet, nose and mouth were also crooked!

But when she brought the kitty who is now named Jinx, to the vet, she was cleared to have no other deformities or sickness.  Her physical differences were a product of birth defects or side effects of her being abandoned as a kitty.  She had no chance to fully develop them at all. But the family does not think of her quirks as a disability but as an adorable uniqueness—making her look like an alien.

Ibanez said, “I honestly was happy when she never [grew into them] because I love animals with quirks. I think they make her all the more adorable. People are usually shocked when I show her to them. Usually people laugh a lot.”

When people are introduced to Jinx, they usually break out into smiles.  She brings joy to the people she meets.  After all, her alien appearance is the only thing that sets her apart from other cats. 

But Jinx has no idea that she is different. Just like other felines, she loves to be with her family, play and sometimes just like humans, have some space.   Her family loves her and they think she is perfect.
