  • Keiko Carter is an artist who turns ordinary prints into beautiful works of art inspired by nature.
  • Recently, she enlisted the help of her golden retriever so she can start her art with a paw print.
  • As she added on to it with details from the great outdoors, it turned into a nature landscape.

Artist Keiko Carter, known for her “black and white art inspired by nature,” enlisted the help of her golden retriever for a recent masterpiece. Her impressive imagination created something magical from something as simple as a paw print.

In a clip shared on TikTok on Jan. 13, Keiko starts by using a paintbrush to put black paint onto her dog’s paw while the sweet dog calmly looks on.

As Keiko does so, she wonders, “Is this where you thought you’d end up in life? Yeah, me either.”

She gently presses her dog’s paw firmly onto a white canvas, then removes the paper. She then adds her own sketches to the paw print using light pencil strokes.

Keiko then fills it in by using a small paintbrush to add “little details” and “some mountains.”

Keiko proceeds to reward her pup with treats and says, “Thank you for your service.”

The video, which has been viewed over 5.8 million times, earned her a lot of new fans. Several wanted to get a tattoo!

Keiko responded to the requests in a video posted a few days later.

She said that you can get a personal tattoo of her work by purchasing a tattoo pass from her personal website. Artists need to be credited for their hard work, after all, and Keiko also needs the funds to feed her helpful pooch.

Keiko said on her website that she loves traveling, nature, and animals. She wrote, “Exploring fuels my art, and my art fuels my adventure.”

You can see more of her art on TikTok and her website.

If you wish to try making paw prints and similar artworks at home, remember to use dog-safe paint and thoroughly wash it off afterward.
