After releasing his new album, the rapper shared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon how his upbringing in the shelter system inspired him to help his community.

“Well, some people might not know much about my early days, my past and my background. So I grew up in the homeless shelter system. Me and my family,” Rocky told Fallon.

He explained that he prefers to help others without drawing attention, believing that giving should feel thoughtful rather than flashy.

Partnering with Bilt, Rocky covered the rent for all tenants in the building where his grandmother once lived, wanting the gesture to feel genuine and discreet.

He also recalled how, as a child, a substitute teacher once brought him and other children from a shelter to see a Harry Potter movie, even though she was struggling financially herself.

Curious, young Rocky asked her why she chose to do something so generous. She replied, “Because it just feels great to do something like that, you know?”
