Bears Take Over Playground as Mama Bear Teaches Cub to Use Slide [Video]

• Bears took over a local playground one day as a mama bear and her cub played on the slides.
• An onlooker managed to capture a video showing the mama bear teach her cub how to go down the slide!
• The mama bear was also seen welcoming her cub with a bear hug as it went down the slide.

The locals of Asheville, North Carolina got to witness an adorable interaction between two bears that took over the playground near an elementary school.

Betsie Stockslager Emry shared the video on Facebook, where it has received over 14,000 views.

In the clip, the bears can be seen wandering around the stairs leading to the slides as a bunch of onlookers can be heard cheering them on.

The mama bear then motioned to her cub and slid down one of the three slides, seemingly to demonstrate. She then runs over to the bottom of a smaller slide to wait for her cub.

One viewer narrates, “You can do this one, honey! It’s a smaller one. You can do it!”

When the cub manages to slide to the bottom, its mother embraces it with a bear hug!

Betsie wrote, “I LOVE how the mama goes down the slide and quickly runs to the smaller slide—only to BEAR HUG the little one as they make it to the bottom.”

The Isaac Dickson Elementary School Facebook page also shared the video with the caption, “There was a little playground take over this afternoon as teachers were leaving for the day.” They assured parents that the young students were inside and safe.
