Quick Smiles:

  • After six years, Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes are bringing back their all-you-can-eat soup and salad buffets.
  • Fans across the country are sharing tear-jerking memories and celebrating the wholesome comeback.
  • New locations promise fresh, healthy options that families have missed.

The pandemic may have closed doors, yet it could not extinguish the love for a cherished dining tradition. Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes are staging a joyful comeback that has loyal guests smiling from coast to coast.

Founded in California as Souplantation, the brand closed all ninety-seven locations in 2020. Now it is rising again with fresh locations already open in Tucson, Arizona, and Fort Myers, Florida, and more on the horizon.

Golden State fans will once again see the familiar Souplantation name, while out-of-state spots will operate as Sweet Tomatoes. The dual branding honors the company’s roots while welcoming new communities.

The menu keeps changing with the seasons, offering wholesome soups, crisp salads, and the beloved baked goods that generations grew up enjoying. Guests plan visits around favorites like the signature tuna tarragon pasta.

“WE’RE GETTING SOUPLANTATION BACK! If you grew up going to Souplantation, this is the comeback we’ve been waiting for! The all-you-can-eat soup and salad buffet is officially returning to Fountain Valley in 2027 at its former location,” a recent Instagram post reads.

“Y’ALL BETTER HAVE THAT TUNA TARRAGON PASTA BC MOMMA IS COMING IN BAKED LIKE THOSE BLUEBERRY MUFFINS,” a fan wrote.

Another guest recalled simpler days: “i’ll never forget at the Porter ranch soup plantation that there used to be this older lady when I was little who would pass out cookies 🙂 we would go so frequently, she got to see me grow up a little bit.”

Requests keep pouring in from every corner of the country. “Here’s hoping yall return to Colorado,” one hopeful diner shared, echoing the nationwide desire for more feel-good meals around the family table.

With every new opening, the chain is proving that comfort, kindness, and community still have a place at the table. The comeback is more than business; it is a shared celebration of memories made one bowl at a time.
