Bodega Cats: Felines That Run New York City’s Bodegas

Published

on

New York City has a bodega placed on just about every street corner. And cats run them… sort of.

Bodegas are small, locally-owned grocery and supply shops — similar to a convenience store for the locals. More often, store owners get to know the people who frequent the shop. However, frequent visitors are actually cats.

Since these felines frequent the shops, they already feel at home. Shopkeepers usually end up taking in stray cats, and before long, the cats are running the place!

“Bodega Cats” is an Instagram page that features cats spotted at shops in the Big Apple.
