  • Olajumoke Orisaguna, mom of two, was hawking bread one day when she wandered into a photoshoot.
  • When the photographer revisited the photos later, he was so amazed by Olajumoke’s natural talent that he scouted her.
  • They then did a wonderful photoshoot that landed Olajumoke a modeling career!

Many young women have dreamed of being scouted one day and landing a modeling contract. But Olajumoke Orisaguna, from Ire, Nigeria, still had a lot on her plate at the moment.

The 27-year-old mother of two was busy making money as a hairstylist and a bread seller. She had no idea that she will land into a life that many have dreamed of while hawking bread.

Photographer Ty Bello was conducting a photoshoot with British rapper Tinie Tempah when Olajumoke wandered into the shooting location.

While some people politely asked her to leave the set, some wanted her to stay. So Ty asked for her permission to take pictures. When she agreed, Ty quickly took the pictures so the bread seller can move on with her day.

The photographer initially thought nothing of it, until he revisited the photos he took and was blown away.

“I was wrong to have paid her such little attention,” Ty said. “Every frame with her in it was perfect.”

This was the photo that started it all:

Ty realized that he had discovered a natural model! So he enlisted the help of the online community to track her down.

He shared the photo on Instagram with the caption, “She definitely should be a model. I’m happy to help her build her portfolio if she’s interested.”

After getting into contact a few days later, Ty did a wonderful photoshoot with Olajumoke. The photos ended up in a Nigerian magazine called This Day Style, and the graceful Olajumoke graced the cover!

Her 14-month-old daughter, Grace, was also included in the photoshoot.

Ty shared, “As always it was her eyes and of course her perfectly chiseled features that jumped out at you when she chuckled. This lady belonged in front of my camera.”

The photographer saw the star in Olajumoke during their photoshoot. And he was proven right when her photos later landed her a modeling contract with Few Model Management.

Whether it was fate or a simple chance encounter, Olajumoke is thankful that she was blessed with a new life. Acknowledging that modeling is not forever, she plans to save up for her children’s future and invest in her education.

Congratulations, Olajumoke! We wish you all the best.
