  • From a 52-inch waist to conquering roller coasters, Brian’s transformation is inspiring.
  • His journey from fast food to fitness encourages others to pursue their dreams.

Stories of personal triumph often begin with a setback, and for Brian Clegg, it was no different.

The 39-year-old from New Windsor, NY, faced a public moment of disappointment when he was deemed too large to ride a roller coaster at Coney Island.

At his heaviest, Brian weighed 409 pounds and struggled with everyday activities due to his size.

He described himself as a “stress eater” who often turned to fast food and sugary snacks for comfort.

Despite enduring years of pain from his lifestyle choices, it was the roller coaster incident that spurred him into action.

Brian embarked on a mission to transform his life, determined to lose weight and improve his health.

“I couldn’t live life,” he admitted.

“I had things that I wanted to accomplish but I was wondering how long I was going to live.”

He began by cutting out sugar and fast food and committed to an exercise routine, starting with just five minutes a day.

His dedication paid off as he lost 135 pounds in 11 months.

Brian’s transformation included going from wearing XXXXXL shirts to XXL and reducing his waist size from 52 inches to 42 inches.

His fitness journey progressed from five minutes on the StairMaster at level one to an impressive hour at level ten.

In October 2024, Brian fulfilled his dream of riding a roller coaster at Coney Island.

“I have gone on a roller coaster for the first time, climbed mountains, and skyscrapers and I go on lots of walks,” he shared.
