Quick Smiles:

  • A beloved Broadway performer’s family receives an outpouring of generosity to help with mounting medical needs
  • Faith-filled father continues to uplift everyone around him while focusing on his two teenage boys
  • Donations have already topped a heart-warming three hundred thousand dollars

Stage lights may have dimmed, yet the heart of a treasured performer keeps shining brightly through courage and family love.

Diagnosed in 2002 with ALS, this gifted actor has chosen hope over hardship, living each day with determination, faith, and an unwavering commitment to his sons.

“There is currently no cure for ALS. Most people would see this diagnosis and its burdens as the end of a dream. Yet Aaron has chosen a different path, dedicating himself to what he calls ‘The Impossible Dream,’ his commitment to living with hope, determination, faith, and love,” the GoFundMe reads.

His greatest joy has always been his two teenage boys.

With daily care now requiring a breathing machine and round-the-clock support, annual costs have climbed beyond three hundred thousand dollars, leaving the family in need of extra help to keep their household strong.

“Aaron has lost the use of his legs, arms, and hands. He requires a BIPAP machine to breathe and a full-time caregiver at his side to help him throughout the day and night. With his increased needs, the cost of full-time caregiving, medical equipment, and specialized therapies has grown to more than $300,000 every year. Aaron’s ability to generate income for his family is severely limited. He needs help to stay in the fight,” the GoFundMe reads.

The community answered with open hearts, including a touching ten-thousand-dollar gift from music legend Barry Manilow.

“Aaron….I just posted a $10K gift from Barry Manilow. Our love and hope to you and your family. Garry,” a comment reads.

Supporters everywhere have been moved by his steadfast positivity.

“Aaron has set an incredible example for everyone around him. His positive attitude at a time when most people would say ‘why me?’ has been truly inspiring. When he performed The Impossible Dream at our office he (and his Dad) showed us all how to keep hope alive and support those around us,” a fan wrote. “While the rest of the world is fighting over everything, Aaron is a ray of light, maintaining a positive attitude even in the most difficult times. We love you pal!”

Thanks to countless acts of kindness, the family’s GoFundMe has already crossed three hundred thousand dollars, giving renewed strength to a father determined to keep dreaming with his boys.
