Bunny, a well-loved plush with long gray ears, found itself in the care of Patti Getty at the Pittsburgh International Airport’s Information Desk.

“I wanted to take the bunny around and show what Pittsburgh airport is like,” Getty shared.

With this in mind, she began documenting Bunny’s journey through the airport, sharing photos on social media on February 4th with the caption:

“Lost bunny needs to find its way home 🐰”

The post detailed, “Yesterday, we found a bunny in our baggage claim area. We showed them LOTS of love.”

The airport’s aim was to return Bunny to its rightful home, and they provided a contact number for any leads.

As Bunny awaited its reunion, it embarked on a charming tour of the terminal. The airport shared these “adventures” through an endearing video.

The search for Bunny’s owner captured the hearts of many online, ultimately leading to a successful reunion with six-year-old Waylynn.

In a touching conclusion, Bunny was safely back home, retrieved by Waylynn’s great-grandmother.

“We’re so happy to reunite lost items with their owners and it is ESPECIALLY joyful to reunite sentimental lost items like Bunny!”
