  • A TikTok video posted by @samantha_styled is making viewers LOL with the battle between a cat and his dad for the gift wrapper.
  • The cat would not move even when the paper was rolled toward him to force him out.
  • The tuxedo cat kicked, bit and even scratched the paper just to stay on it but dad won in the end.

You know what they say about cats and their never-ending curiosity about whatever you are doing.  Well, this time, it is the frantic efforts of a dad to finish wrapping gifts.  The cat has set his eye on the gift wrapper and no amount of coaxing would make him move.

In a hilarious video posted by TikTok user @samantha_styled and captioned ‘Cat vs. Cat Daddy,’ the tuxedo cat is bent on not leaving his dad alone.  It even has ‘Rocky: Eye of the Tiger’ music in the background to spice up the ongoing battle.

While his dad had control over the paper on the table, the remaining part of the roll was on the floor and the tabby was lying on it with his tail wagging and not budging.  Even when the dad was finished with his task and was rolling the paper already, the cat kicked at the paper. And viewers just cannot help but LOL!

Well, cats are cats.

And a lot of cat owners can relate with the exasperation on the dad’s part. @squirrelyg820 wrote, “OMG! Just had the same fight. The tape might not stick but the cat DEFINITELY will!”

On the other hand, we thought the cat would have his way and win the battle but Dad prevailed.  And so, what does the tabby do next when he is forced to move? @mailbunny282 said, “Immediately goes to the box of stuff.” And even issued fair warning to his dad to keep one eye open for something else that he’ll destroy. LOL!

At least if it is any consolation, you know that the wrapping paper is of good quality as it survived the cat’s weight, kicks, bites and scratches.

So, what does one do when this happens?  Do the wrapping session in a room and close the door.  You might hear meows and scratches on the door but your gift will be wrapped in no time at all.

But in fairness, the tuxedo cat fought well.
