And the video by @coachmeeks has already been viewed 10 million times and counting!

The cat is not too happy with the four people attempting to take her snack.  She wags her tail in irritation and makes a few growls.

One woman’s voice can be heard saying, “Just grab it,” while another explains, “She’s making cougar noises.”  The cat just swats away at their hands, foiling their attempts.

But when three of them ganged up on her with one holding her paws, another one her hind legs while the other grabbed the chicken leg, the feline had no choice but to give up.

Fried chicken is an unusual choice of cat food due to its bones but it has been known to be used as a lure for city cats.

In fact, Parks Victoria staff in Australia in January 2017 caused quite a stir when they spent hundreds of government funds to buy fried chicken from KFC to coax feral cats.

University of Sydney biologist and feral cat expert Dr. Christopher Dickman said, “There hasn’t been any data published on it so the information we have is anecdotal, but it does work for luring feral cats, though mainly in urban areas.”

He added that urban cats are familiar with the strong aroma of fast-food fried chicken unlike cats in remote areas who are suspicious of new foods.

This can explain why this kitty is not letting her fried chicken leg go.

She was seen “licking her lips at the end” by viewer Shell2650 and shelandrystudio added: “That cat really wanted that chicken.”  She certainly fought paw and nail for it.

But Catdansk noted “the dog backing away in fear and alarm,” which markhalejr seconded with, “Even the dog in the back saying yall crazy for messing with that cat.”

RCalabraro fittingly concludes the cat’s licking her lips after the battle with: “I regret nothing.”
