Children Shave Their Heads To Support Mom with Cancer [Video]

• Lourdes Morales was diagnosed with cancer for the second time in 2020.
• She decided to have her hair shaven off by her son, while her daughter sat beside her.
• She was then surprised when both her children shaved their hair off, too!

The battle against cancer can be scary and lonely, but the love and support from family members and friends can help alleviate some of the burden.

When Lourdes Morales was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2020, she decided to take some control back over her body by having her remaining hair shaved off.

It was an understandably emotional moment for her, but her children were there with her all the way. Her son, Medina Wilmer, shaved off her hair for her while her daughter, Celyanne Morales, stayed beside her.

In a video shared by Medina, Lourdes can be seen trying to hold back her tears during the process. Immediately after, Celyanne takes off her ponytail holder and her brother starts to shave off her hair as well!

Lourdes was taken aback and even tried to stop it. She was eventually overcome with emotion.

After all of Celyanne’s dark curls were shaved off, the siblings swap places and she shaves off Medina’s hair, too!

In the video, Medina shares that it was his mom’s second diagnosis. He says that he was just a kid during her first ordeal, so he couldn’t do much. He then promises that they will be there for her now that they’re grown up.

Medina then addresses his mom with a heartfelt message: “I’m here for you. It’s my time to take care of you and we are all in this together.”

What a touching way to show their support!

As Medina says, “Nobody in this world is alone because God gifts you with every single person who loves you.”

Medina and Celyanne surely demonstrated their love for their mother.
