“She loves it here, and all the residents adore her!” Liza told The Dodo.

Indy loves accompanying her mom to work. It has been the routine they do every single day, but still, it’s the highlight of her day.

Recently, Liza attended a friend’s wedding so she had to take a day off from work and asked her dad to dog-sit. All was set, except that Indy wasn’t informed.

Indy might have thought that her mom just forgot to bring her to work that day, but it was no problem at all. The smart pup had an easy solution: walk there herself.

It was incredible how Indy managed to sneak out the house without Liza’s dad knowing and walk two miles to the facility, all by herself!

“I truly didn’t believe it!” Liza said. “She takes the drive with me every day, but I never imagined she would do this.”

The staff and residents of the home care were surprised to see Indy as they knew Liza was off for the day. But they made sure the pup’s efforts would be compensated, so they welcomed her with open arms and gave her treats. Anyway, she’s a friend to everyone in the facility.

“The residents let her in and waited with her, feeding her all her favorite treats,” Liza said.

After having a good time at work, Indy was given a ride home by Liza’s boss. Not long after, Liza returned from the wedding, and the two were reunited.

“She must’ve really missed me!” Liza said of her pooch who went the lengths just to surprise her.

What a sweet, sweet dog.
