  • A couple shares their nightly routine of co-sleeping with five dogs.
  • Their TikTok video goes viral, amassing over 1.9 million views.
  • Despite skepticism, they cherish the warmth and joy their pets bring.

In Jacksonville, Florida, Tracy Fosterling and her husband, Tyler, have a rather unique bedtime routine that has captured the hearts of many.

Each night, they share their king-sized bed with five dogs, a practice that has gained them significant attention online.

Tracy, a devoted rescue advocate, explained that their journey into co-sleeping with their furry friends wasn’t initially planned.

“We never really planned to have all the dogs sleep with us but it just happened as we added more to our pack,” she shared.

Their TikTok video, posted on December 12, showcases the intricate arrangement of their sleeping space, which has drawn over 1.9 million views and 100,000 likes.

In the video, Tracy elaborates on the sleeping positions: their “little tiny dog” has a special spot between their pillows, while the Labrador retriever cozies up directly between the couple.

Their young Great Pyrenees has a tendency to commandeer Tracy’s spot, necessitating a gentle nudge towards the middle.

Meanwhile, the “big mama Pyrenees” finds her comfort at the foot of the bed, and their black Labrador claims a spot beside Tyler.

Two additional young dogs rest in a bed on the floor, a considerate decision to respect their space and prepare them for future homes where bed-sharing might not be an option.

“People think we’re crazy,” Tracy admits in the video, but she insists, “We love it. They are all rescue dogs and we want them to have the best life.”

Despite concerns about cleanliness, Tracy reassures viewers by changing the sheets daily.

Her philosophy is simple: “Dogs’ lives are short, and if they want to be close to us at night then we want that for them.”

Co-sleeping with dogs can alleviate anxiety and provide comfort, although it might disrupt sleep if the dogs wake during the night. Yet, many find the companionship worth it, as dogs are “perfect bed warmers.”

Tracy adds, “They keep us warm, and make us laugh, and it’s always a fun time getting them to their spots.”

While some TikTok users humorously suggest that their husbands would need to find another place to sleep, others see nothing amiss with the arrangement.

One commenter even declared, “This is my dream.”

In the end, Tracy and Tyler have found a way to make their cozy, canine-filled nights work, embracing the warmth and laughter their beloved pets bring.
