  • A Great Dane underestimates his size and gets his whole body entangled in mom’s Halloween display.
  • While disentangling himself from the fluffy white web, he manages to bring the whole decoration down.
  • His mom spent hours setting it up but the whole display went down in just a few minutes.

Great Danes are not known for their intelligence.  But they sure are popular for being goofy.  And as Halloween draws near, a Great Dane’s experience with Halloween decorations deserves another retelling to make you laugh.

Brody is a 180-pound dog who thinks he is a pup. Barbara Nebenfuhr Hoffer, Brody’s neighbor said, “He’s this massive horse of a dog that my kids love. He knocks my 10-year-old down all the time.” Hoffer added, “He’s very sweet and always in your face. He just wants to try and sit on your lap and slobber on you.”

Hoffer was at Brody’s house last year when Brody got into trouble with his mom’s Halloween decorations.  His mom just finished the display that was wrapped in a large spider web.

Brody’s curiosity about the white fluffy stuff led him to stick his face into it. “And he just kept walking in it and pushing it. I grabbed my camera because I thought, ‘Oh God, what is this dog going to do?’, Hoffer said.

Hoffer added that with his size, Brody would have thought that he could get through the web.  But the opposite happened! He just kept on getting entangled until his whole body was wrapped in it, bringing the whole display down!

What took hours for his mom to arrange only took a few minutes to destroy. Everything was in shambles.

Now who’s sorry that he destroyed Mom’s decoration? Poor Brody is repentant and his mom has already forgiven him.  After all, mom and Hoffer had a good laugh over his silliness.

Now we’re wondering what Brody would do to this year’s decorations.
