Remember Ollie? He’s the lovable chocolate Lab who packs his own backpack and loves baking. He also gets to choose a fun activity to do every week from his activity jar.

Last week, he had to undergo a minor surgery that left him with a few stitches. To let his wound heal without being disturbed, he had to wear a “cone of shame.”

Like most pets, he was not amused.

Ollie felt really sad that he had to wear the restrictive accessory, so “he just moped around and was feeling really sorry for himself,” his owner, Alex, shared.

Alex’s dad saw how sad Ollie felt, so he decided to keep him company.

It turns out that there was another cone in storage, so he put it on himself to keep Ollie company!

Alex couldn’t help but laugh at the scene. She called her mom over to see it, too.

It was a bizarre scene, for sure, but Dad’s sweet gesture helped brighten Ollie’s mood.

Fortunately, both Ollie and Dad only had to wear the cones temporarily.

Ollie was given the green signal to take off his cone after his stitches were removed.

“Ollie’s doing great. His stitches have healed nicely,” Alex shared. “Ollie only had to wear it for a week. My dad only lasted a few hours!”

Within just a few days, Ollie ditched the cone for his chef’s hat and baked some treats.
