Bill Sumiel, a man who needed a kidney, got the help he needed from an unlikely source – his Uber driver. During the ride to his dialysis center, Sumiel and his driver, Tim Letts, struck up a conversation, and by the end of the trip, Letts offered him his kidney.

It turned out to be a match, and one year after the surgery, Sumiel feels great and is rehabbing at the University of Delaware’s Renal Rehab center.
