Dog Can’t Stop Staring At Dryer, His Mom Finds Out Why [Video]

  • Dogs usually have a favorite toy that they carry around or sleep with.
  • That’s the case of Habs. He’s in love with a giant stuffed bear.
  • When Habs’ mom washed the bear, Habs didn’t leave it and just sit in front of the washer for the whole entire cycle.

Habs is a sweet cocker spaniel who rarely leaves the side of his favorite human, Jacqueline Estey. Yet Jacqueline isn’t the only one who has earned Habs’s love; the dog is also devoted to a giant stuffed bear that he claimed as his own when he joined the Estey family three years ago.

“Habs has always been inseparable from the bear. He likes to bring the bear all around the house,” Jacqueline explained. “If you pick it up, he’ll follow you around until you put it back down for him.”

Recently Jacqueline noticed that Habs’s bear was looking a bit, well, dingy. When the dog wasn’t looking, Jacqueline quietly stuffed the bear into her washing machine and went about her day. Later on, she noticed that Habs was missing, so she began searching around the house for him.

When she found where he was, her heart absolutely melted.

Habs was sitting right in front of the front-loading dryer watching his beloved bear spin round and round inside.

“I have never seen him do that for anything in the wash, other than his bear,” Jacqueline said. “It was hilarious when I realized he was sitting there for the whole entire cycle and wasn’t moving for anything!”

Funnier still, later that night Jacqueline woke up to find that Habs wasn’t in bed with her. She tracked him down near the laundry room once more, fretfully looking for his bear.

“I heard Habs scratching at the dryer door,” she said. “When I went in there, he was looking for his bear in the washer and dryer! I walked him downstairs and showed him where his bear was, where he continued to lay down next to his bear.”

The college student shared a video of Habs worrying over his stuffed BFF on her Twitter page and naturally, the tweet quickly took off. Soon, we found out that dogs waiting for their stuffed animals to return from the big scary washing machine is a common (and hilarious!) occurrence.
