Nimbus is one fluffy dog who sheds a ton.
So her mom, Soleil, decided to save her fur for some crafting projects.
Her friend Charlotte made fur boots out of it — and the finished product looks paw-some!

Meet Nimbus. She’s one fluffy dog, so, naturally, she sheds a ton of fur.

Her fluff tends to get everywhere! So her mom, Soleil Pond, decided to make the most of it.

Soleil told The Dodo, “I started to save her fur since I saw it has an incredible amount of crafting potential, from felting to weaving into yarn.”

“I always wanted to make some keepsakes out of her fur for some family members across the country who haven’t gotten a chance to meet her,” she added.

While she was thinking of crafting ideas, her friend Charlotte Lake suggested creating fur boots.

So Soleil sent off some fur to Charlotte, who knew her stuff about crafting and camping.

Charlotte worked for a total of about 24 hours for each boot.

Soleil had no idea what they would look like, but she was “absolutely delighted” when she saw the finished product.

“The paw print details really tie in so nicely, she wanted to pay homage to the animal they came from. I think the idea of walking in her footsteps is very sweet,” Soleil said.

Nimbus is yet to see the boots made from her fur, since Charlotte lives away from Soleil. But her mom thinks the playful pup will assume it’s another toy.

“She always tries to nibble at the bags of her fur, and these would be the perfect intersection of her favorite things to steal — my socks/slippers and her fluff,” Soleil shared.

Charlotte told The Dodo, “I’m very happy with the final product, they’re very warm, perfect to line a pair of hide boots when out trekking and camping in the winter. They are very comfy too! I’m not sure why so many people seemed to think they would be itchy.”
