Eight-year-old girl who went out to buy milk returned with a little puppy [Video]

• Isa went out to take walk and was asked to pick up some milk from a store.
• When the 8-year-old Isa saw a puppy being kicked by young boys, she intervened and brought the puppy home.

They say you can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat animals— those who cannot verbally say thank you but give their entire lives for you to show their love in return. The capacity to show and share love is bigger when you start them young.

Take the case of an 8-year-old girl named Isa in Brazil who only wanted to take a walk in her community and pick up some milk from a store, when she chanced upon boys kicking a puppy. She immediately stepped in, cradled the puppy in her arms and brought it home.

Her aunt, Grazi Do Vale Silva, was looking at the front gate and saw Isa carrying something strange and responded harshly.  But after knowing how the puppy was treated and how Isa intervened, changed her attitude and she now helped in rushing the injured puppy to be treated.

Silva said they already have some other rescue dogs but Isa’s relationship with the puppy now named Mel is unique.

Silva relayed, “Mel is glued to Isa, and Isa treats her like a daughter. The first thing she does after school is go see little Mel. They are inseparable.”

Isa’s ability to love and care for animals stems from being taught to protect and care for animals in need at a young age. And her reward is the love that Mel shows her through the wagging of her tail.

Silva said, “I am proud [of Isa]. It is our duty to respect animals. Their love is a gift.”
