Family surprises grieving dog with new puppy for Christmas [Video]

A dog grieving for his lost best friend received the perfect gift for Christmas.

Cash and Rosie were the best of friends for many years. The two golden retrievers grew old together with Marie Ahonen’s family after all.

But Rosie sadly passed away when Cash was in his senior years, which greatly saddened Cash and his human family.

Cash was left alone, but he continued to be a good boy to his human family while mourning for his lost friend.

Three years later, the Ahonen family decided to surprise their 12-year-old pooch for Christmas.

It was hard to think of the perfect gift, but they soon knew just what their lonely dog needed.

As they handed Cash his gift, they couldn’t help but be anxious about how he would react to his gift.

Almost instantly, a tiny puppy pushed the lid off him, revealing himself to his new family!

Cash was given a new companion!

He was so excited that his tail wagged so quickly! You could see that he was overjoyed to meet his new friend.

And although he was so excited, the good boy did his best to be gentle with the tiny puppy.

The little one was also happy to see the bigger dog. The two quickly exchanged sniffs to familiarize themselves with each other’s scent.

And as they watched each other intently, you could see a new friendship starting to form.

The tiny puppy now has an older brother as a guide, and Cash has a new sibling to spend time with.
