Jeff Trembley, DDS, shared how Peewee helped a recent patient at his office, Smile On Nashville.

The patient needed a “full-smile makeover” that would take three to four hours, but refused to get sedated for financial reasons. When the staff placed Peewee on her chest, she was able to relax and continue with the treatment calmly.

Jeff said that when he first got Peewee, he brought the then-6-month-old pup with him to work instead of leaving him alone at home. The pup would cry out when left in his office alone, however, and preferred being among the staff and patients. Jeff decided to build Peewee a tower behind the reception desk, where he could observe everyone.

Soon, patients who noticed the pup started asking if Peewee could sit with them during their treatment. It was then that Peewee became a dental therapy dog.

It wasn’t long before Peewee was heavily requested. Jeff started sharing videos of the pup on the job on Smile On Nashville’s TikTok account, where Peewee has become a star.

Jeff said that Peewee and his videos encouraged a lot of patients to book their first appointments at their clinic!

Peewee is beloved not just by patients but also by the dental office staff.

Jeff shared, “I started an Employee of the Month program a couple of months ago. Peewee always wins.”
