Suzi bought Mickey from a local pet store when she was 17.  She has watched Mickey grow into an “old man cat” while the cat watched her transform from a girl to a woman. 

It was a relationship that survived ups and downs and weathered storms and dark times. Mickey provided emotional support when she lost her “Mama” in 2010.  The loss changed her life immensely and yet she managed to get through it because of his comforting presence.

The strong emotional bond that they shared clearly showed in the personal photos that accompanied Suzi’s narrative.   True enough, there is none as devoted as Mickey.

One photo of Mickey with his paw on Suzi’s face stood out as it clearly showed how he comforted his distressed mom. 

And in the end, Suzi can only regret that she was not there during the last days of Mickey’s life but she still thanked Mickey for holding on until she got home before he took his last breath.  

It is going to be hard without Mickey, Suzi.  But the 20 years you have been together were filled with much love and affection.  You have beautiful memories to hold on to and draw strength from whenever you feel sad. 

And yes, Mickey is easily the best $40 you have ever spent, Suzi.
