A bus driver at Tecumseh Local Schools in Ohio recently prevented a student from getting hit by a passing car. As the bus was making a routine stop to drop off students, the driver noticed a vehicle trying to pass the bus on the right just as a student was about to step off.

Acting quickly, the driver yelled for the student to stay and pulled him back by his backpack, saving him from harm.

The school district shared a video of the incident on Facebook, expressing gratitude for the driver’s alertness and quick actions. “We did seek permission from the student’s parent prior to sharing in order to spread bus safety awareness and celebrate the driver’s actions,” the district wrote.
