Emergency teams rushed to the scene, and Firefighter Lt. Fetters dove in immediately with Deputy Gray assisting him for safety. Deputy Jennifer Fuller helped get the child to shore as quickly as possible.

Once on land, Deputy Holder performed tireless CPR until the child’s heartbeat was restored, with Deputy Zachery Whitmer joining to help.

These courageous efforts meant the toddler was soon flown to a hospital for further care, giving her a real chance to recover and thrive.
