In Houston, Daniel and Martin Hernandez are making the most of their time away from work by giving back to the community.

While working full-time jobs, the brothers reserve their days off to help people who are struggling financially.

What began as complimentary lawn care has expanded into providing free pressure washing services for driveways and patios.

“You never know what people are going through,” Martin shared. “I know it’s just pressure washing a driveway, but it can really mean a lot to people and brighten up their day. It can change the way they look at life.”

Their journey started four years ago after meeting a client unable to afford medication during a paid job with their father. Seeing her gratitude sparked a change in their priorities, prompting the brothers to commit to weekly acts of service.

They recently took on cleaning a property they saw featured on KHOU 11 and began showcasing their work through videos on YouTube, where their audience continues to grow.

“We always think about how we can possibly encourage people to go out there and help people out and just spread kindness around the city of Houston,” said Daniel.
