  • Molly had to use a wheelchair since she was diagnosed with intervertebral disk disease (IVDD) and underwent surgery in 2015.
  • But using a wheelchair during the winter could be quite challenging for her, which would have been sad because she has always loved to play in the snow.
  • Thankfully, her parents decided to get her a chair with skis so she can still go out and play with her dog siblings in the snow.

Molly underwent surgery in 2015 after she was diagnosed with intervertebral disk disease (IVDD). Because of that, Molly is unable to walk and has since been using a wheel cheer to go around. When winter comes in Canada, where they live, it was a challenge for Molly to use the wheelchair in the snow.

“The first winter was so hard for her, so we started looking for skis,” Molly’s mom, Susan Freeman, told The Dodo.

Molly has always loved to go out in the snow for a walk or to play around and her family didn’t want that to change. So they decided to get her a chair with skis and it turned out to be the right decision.

Molly absolutely loves it and she’s become very good at using it in the snow!

Everybody adores seeing Molly skiing like she didn’t care about anything at all. She puts a smile to anyone’s face who sees her ski.

“She just loves skiing and is so happy,” Susan said.

Although Molly is 11 years old now, whenever she’s out in the snow, she is still like a sweet little puppy who loves to play ang keep up with her sister Izzy and brother Luis.  It could’ve been hard for Molly to play in the snow if not for her skis. Thankfully, her parents love her so much and got her one, now she’s got no problem going out during her most favorite time of the year—the winter.

“She is just such an amazing pup,” Susan said. “She makes so many people happy when they see her.”
