Talented actress Isa Briones is trading the medical scrubs of her hit show The Pitt for the bright lights of Broadway. She has stepped into the role of pop icon Connie Francis in the musical Just in Time, celebrating the life of Bobby Darin.

The performer says returning to the stage feels like coming home after a long stretch of television work.

She delivers a powerful rendition of Who’s Sorry Now? to audiences eight times a week at Manhattan’s Circle in the Square Theatre.

“Theater is just kind of where I come from. Theater feels like home.”

Briones notes that while she often films intense scenes for the emergency room drama, performing in a musical is a joyful gift.

She hopes to introduce a new generation to the classic sounds of the 1950s and ‘60s through her storytelling.

“It’s such a gift, especially when I’m usually doing ‘The Pitt,’ which is a lot more traumatizing material.”
