Comedian Jeff Ross is celebrating a major milestone in his health journey after facing a stage three colon cancer diagnosis with his signature wit.

During a recent visit to the TODAY show, he shared that his chemotherapy port has officially been removed.

Jeff used humor to stay positive throughout his treatment, even playfully naming his shrinking tumor Al in honor of weatherman Al Roker.

He credited his routine colonoscopy with saving his life after friends encouraged him to undergo the screening.

Ross emphasizes that the connection with his loved ones was the most vital part of his healing process.

“It’s the people that helped me get through it. And the results … they don’t matter as much as the love and support you get.”

Now he uses his platform and new one-man show to encourage others to prioritize their health and screenings.

He views the performance as a shared emotional experience that helps others find their own path to catharsis.

“As I went through it, it was really my family and friends that lifted me up and helped me get through it. Plus, get a colonoscopy, folks. It saved my life.”
