‘Guard’ Dog Caught Chilling on the Job [Video]

  • But it was soon made clear that Gracie is a very chill chihuahua.
  • She was even caught napping while on guard duty!

Meet Gracie, a chihuahua who is best known for doing nothing at all.

Gracie’s owner, Scott Hubbard, described the little one to The Dodo: “She is the definition of chill. She’s the most relaxed dog I’ve ever met in my life.”

Laziness may be fine for a dog, but it is a terrible quality to have as a guard dog.

While little Gracie was certainly not adopted for the sole purpose of home defense, Scott and his family assumed that she would at least start making noise in the yard to alert them of any danger.

But it was soon made clear that Grace is simply not the type to get all worked up over things.

Scott observed, “She’s a complete opposite of a stereotypical Chihuahua.”

Gracie completely failed her duty as guard dog, and Scott didn’t hold back on Gracie’s performance rating: a “0/10.”

Any potential home invaders will most likely not feel intimidated by the little Gracie. That being said, they may still be deterred from any wrongdoing.

Scott predicted, “They would relax with her and have a drink together.”

Gracie may not be a crime-stopper, but she certainly contributes in other ways at home.

Scott shared, “She is extremely loving and happy. I never have to think, ‘I wonder what Gracie is doing?’ She’s in the same spot when we leave and when we get back. Her personality is exactly what you see.”

Perhaps it can help if we try to emulate Gracie and take it easy during these trying times.
