  • For frequently delivering packages, 5-year-old thinks that the mailman is like Santa Claus.
  • She wrote him a letter, drew a picture of a unicorn, and asked the mailman for one.
  • Mailman pulls through for the little girl with a pink unicorn, a puzzle, and a card.

Since the mailman delivers packages all the time, 5-year-old Alice Aardal thought that he was just like Santa Claus.  And so, she wrote him a letter to ask for a unicorn!

Alice, who goes to school at the Marcus Witman Elementary School, accompanied the letter with a picture of the mythical creature to show her love for unicorns.

Alice’s mom, Melissa, did not expect anything to happen since they have not even met the mailman but she went with the idea anyway.

And they were both surprised when the mailman surprised them with a package!

Inside was a pink, stuffed unicorn, a card, a puzzle, and a sweet note: “Dear Alice, I spoke with the unicorn and we agreed her powers are too much for a little girl, but if you put enough love into this figure of her, she may come to life,” and signed, “The Mailman.”

Melissa said, “Somebody went above and beyond and kind of made something real for somebody. That’s just so awesome that that’s happening and somebody was just so thoughtful.”

She added that she was blown away by the mailman’s kindness and for making her daughter’s dream come true.

Alice on the other hand is thrilled with her unicorn and said, “I love her.”

And for being sparkly, Alice has named her unicorn, Twilight.

Alice appreciates the beautiful gift so much and so she left the mailman a charm bracelet that she made and wrote a thank you card.

The mailman may not be Santa Claus but his sweet gesture sure makes Christmas not too far away for little Alice.
