  • Vitor’s car was stolen while he was at a party near his home.
  • When his car was found, it came with a dog who refused to leave.
  • Having felt a strange but close connection to the dog, Vitor decided to keep him and welcome him home.

Vitor Mangino from Brazil had driven up to a party near his home last Saturday, only to realize his car was stolen as he was about to leave.

He later filed a police report for his stolen car, but had to wait for several days before he received a response. The police sergeant informed him that they had found his car. But he then said something strange.

“He asked me if I lost a dog, too,” Vitor recalled. “I said, ‘No, just the car.’ Then he said, ‘Well, there’s a dog on top of your car, and he refuses to leave or let anyone get close.’ When I heard that, I got goosebumps.”

Sure enough, when Vitor got to where his car was found, he spotted the mystery dog — and he was still on top of his car.

The mystery dog was completely unknown to Vitor, but he felt a strangely close connection to him.

Likewise, the stray dog was “very friendly” towards him, and acted like they have been BFFs all along.

It was then that Vitor accepted that his car now came with a dog.

He had no idea where the sweet dog had come from, but he decided to adopt him, and named him Heineken.

The pair quickly became inseparable.

Vitor finally got his car back, but it had some costly damage. The engine was tampered with and the sound system was stolen — netting him a loss of about $1,000.

Still, Vitor didn’t feel too terrible after the whole experience led to him meeting Heineken.
