Man Who Owns 13 Golden Retrievers Say “Happiness Is An Understatement” [Video]

Golden Retrievers might just be the dream dog for a lot of people.  Golden Retrievers are playful and happy energetic dogs that maintain puppyish behavior even when they are already adults. They give so much of themselves just to make their humans happy. 

Just one Golden Retriever can already give so much joy.  How much more when there are 13 of them. On the other hand, it could lead to other people being jealous or envious of him. 

To deflect the envy, Collin Standon says that there is also a downside to caring for the pack. “Challenges would be maintaining them; being golden retrievers, they come with lots of upkeep”

And feeding them is just one of the upkeep costs. The whole gang can consume nine pounds of dog food every day which would add up to ten 40-pound bags of dog food.

But it could not compare to the happiness that the 13 large pooches have given him.  He says, “It’s not like anything you’d ever imagine; happiness is an understatement.”

How did he end up with 13 dogs? Collin said the golden clan started with three.  Two of the goldies, Chloe and Sam, gave birth to nine adorable pups.  He did not want to split the family, so he kept them all. 

Collin with a dozen golden decided to add one more to the family.

When he heard that a golden was up to be euthanized, he simply could not let it happen. So, he adopted the dog and called him Buddy, who completed the Lucky 13.

And when Collin gave social media a peek into his golden haven, viewers could not help but fall in love with Buddy, Chloe, Sam, Chloe’s sister Emma and the nine pups — Rocky, Moose, Raider, Cowboy, Pumpkin, Sunshine, Missy, Angel, and Callie.

Who wouldn’t?  Golden Retrievers are just so innocent and pure in their love.
