Meet Ben Afquack, Guinness World Record Holder And Rock Star Drummer [Video]

Speaking about his drummer duck Ben Afquack, Derek Johnson said, “One thing that makes [ducks] great adventure companions is their instinct is to follow you.” He added, “Once they like you a little bit, they really have no choice but to go wherever you go!”

But Ben is not your typical quacking, paddling and snacking duck.  He follows his dad’s lead of drumming and riding a motorcycle. Ben may not even know that he’s a duck as he follows a human after all.   

Ben’s drumming started when his dad and mom observed that he kicked his little legs whenever he was lifted.  His mom put a snare drum under the kicking legs and voila, the drumming.

Aside from drumming, Ben goes on motorcycle adventures with his dad in a customized backpack fitted with mesh so he can see the scenes on these rides.

And his parents are proud to post his funny drumming videos and selfies with his dad on their adventures in their Facebook and Instagram page. And “fans” cannot get enough of the feathered drummer.  

Ben’s Instagram account @minnseotaduck is a Guinness World Record title holder with 89k followers.  His popularity has given him celebrity status that people now recognize him when they go out in public. 

Ben and his dad have a special bond that no other human and duck share. Thanks for showing the world that such a bond can exist. The relationship has taught Johnson to be more responsible, compassionate, and to get out and make the most of life every day.
