  • A TikTok video of a mom sharing her discovery of a drawer full of heartwarming notes her husband wrote for their three daughters has been inspiring parents around the world.
  • The girls have been keeping all the notes that were tucked into their lunch boxes since the start of the school year.
  • The notes all build the confidence of the girls and would include small drawings, a quote, a riddle, or a piece of trivia.

Yes, he’s a girl dad three times over and the notes are proof that he’s slaying it.

Sabrina Clendenin found the notes in a drawer and she could not help but be touched by the close relationship that her daughters have with their dad.

Clendenin said, “What I laid out on the tables were not even all of them. “She added, When I came across them all stuffed in a drawer, I was like, ‘What in the world?’ and then I started reading them and … I got a little emotional because I didn’t know he was even doing specific days, like there’s a ‘What am I Wednesday,’ ‘Fun Fact Friday,’ ‘Motivational Monday’ and I was just like, this is literally the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. And the fact that the girls kept them, I think that’s what meant so much and they just enjoy it every day, clearly.”

Clendenin said the ‘Fun Fact Friday’ was a big hit with the girls.

Her husband tucked the notes in the girls’ lunch boxes and would include a quote, a small drawing, a piece of trivia or a riddle. And the girls appreciate their Dad’s effort as they have kept the notes.

In Clendenin’s now-viral TikTok video post on December 2, she wrote in the caption, “Why am I crying 😭 he was meant to be a girl dad with the hashtags #lucky #bestdad #girldad #lovehim #luckywife #dadlife #pickedawinner #lunchnotes”.

The notes were her husband’s creative way of building her children’s confidence by letting them know that they are loved.

Clendenin said, “He just gives them this great confidence that I think every child in general needs growing up.”

The dad would even encourage her daughters to talk with their friends when they had issues that they have difficulty sharing with him or their mom.

“There [are] some dads like, ‘Wow, I’m kind of inspired to start writing notes and do that because obviously it means a lot to them.’ So I think that’s really cute. I thought that was sweet to see all those dads be like, ‘I’m gonna step up my game’ “, said Clendenin.

And the tradition has no signs of stopping as the girls will be expecting the notes even when they go to college.

“I don’t think he can stop now. I think he’s locked in for life. They’re gonna be in college and they’re gonna expect those notes,” she joked.

Good job, Dad!
