“I’m holding onto my faith,” she continued. “I still believe. And as my mom would say, ‘Where else would I go?’”
“I have every intention of coming back,” she affirmed. “I don’t know how to come back, but I don’t know how not to. You’re my family. And I would like to try.”
Dylan Dreyer led a touching group prayer, emphasizing family unity and miracles.
“We’re here holding hands as a family, in a place where we don’t understand why this is happening. It is not too bold to ask God for the biggest miracles every day,” Dylan said.
Savannah hugged everyone, strengthening their bonds amid challenges.
Al Roker noted the mutual inspiration: “I think we needed to see her as much as she needed to see us.”
Dylan reflected on the prayer’s power: “It felt like the right moment for all of us. When I feel helpless, I pray, and we talk about how the TODAY show is a family.”
“And I think Savannah felt our love,” she added. “As a family we gave that love to her, it was our gift to her.”
Carson Daly praised her heartfelt words and the genuine family spirit at TODAY.
Jenna Bush Hager shared joy at her return to their home: “She said that she has the intention to return to the show. Even though it feels like the hardest thing to do, it’s also her home and where she feels so loved.”
Sheinelle Jones celebrated Savannah’s strength: “I’m proud of Savannah, and I’m rooting for Savannah. I think her coming here just being able to be with us and for us to be able to hug her, I think it’s a step.”
The TODAY team showed solidarity with yellow ribbons and flowers, symbols of hope continuing from the community.
