Heavy snow and powerful winds swept across the Northeast, with over 15 inches recorded in New York City by early Monday. Creative solutions and teamwork helped residents manage snowy sidewalks and keep spirits bright throughout challenging conditions.

Blizzard warnings extended from Maryland to Maine, impacting 41 million people and causing power outages for about 350,000 customers. States such as New Jersey, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut declared emergencies to protect public safety.

Many schools, including in New York City and Boston, closed for the day, giving families an unexpected opportunity to enjoy the winter weather together. Despite thousands of flight cancellations, strong coordination helped keep essential travel moving smoothly.
